Trade Union Course Outlines

THE NUJ sees the provision of essential training for our representatives as a crucial task, so that they can carry out their roles to the best of their abilities and to the best advantage of members. Set alongside our efforts to assist individual career development, we have a two-pronged strategy to embed a culture of learning and improvement throughout the NUJ and the media industry.

Consequently, the NUJ training department offers a range of practical trade union training courses - all free to members - as well as a wide range of skills-based courses, which are subsidised by the NUJ.

The training department is working hard to respond to members’ training needs and new courses are continuously in development to ensure that members stay abreast of a quickly changing industry.

We are encouraging our new and experienced representatives to take up the trade union training on offer so that, as a union, we can continue to develop and increase our influence within the industry for the benefit of all our members.
